Consumed and sold locally, ragi atta is a great whole flour that can be used to make Chillas, Rotis, or Tacos. It also has a unique taste and makes for a nourishing winter breakfast. You can also use some Ragi in walnut halwa as well or make your own Madua Halwa.
Madua is a gluten-free whole grain from farms in the Almora and Nainital region of Kumaon in Uttarakhand. It is rich in fiber and helps with weight loss and diabetes. It is also packed with Calcium, Amino Acids, and Vitamin D. It has been traditionally grown in the fields around Bakhli as a hardy crop.
